These are portfolio examples from some of the students I have had the pleasure of personally instructing during my time as an educator at LaGuardia Community College. Most of the projects displayed below are works that came about as a direct result the “HUW 269 – New Media Project Lab” course that I designed as the capstone class for LaGuardia New Media Technology majors<\/a>. Students in this capstone class are required to develop a final professional portfolio to display their command of digital design. The ultimate goal of the course is to empower students to utilize this portfolio to facilitate transfer to a four year senior college, or to obtain work in the field of New Media. The portfolio serves as a final thesis project and contains revised examples of their past work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Leandro Bermeo<\/a>
\nWhether working with print or on the web, Leandro displayed an amazing talent for design. He is a recent graduate of the New Media Technology program and is currently working as freelance designer\/developer.<\/td>\n		\"leandro\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Mario De Leon<\/a>
\nMario De Leon is a New Media Technology major with an excellent foundation in web design, digital video, and illustration. Mario is scheduled to graduate from LaGuardia in 2013.<\/td>\n		\"liongraphics\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Iliana Matos<\/a>
\nIliana Matos is a New Media Technology major specializing in the fields of digital video and photography. Iliana is a talented filmmaker with an excellent eye for visual design. She is scheduled to graduate from LaGuardia in 2013.<\/td>\n		\"imatos\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Gabriela Bararata<\/a>
\nGabriela is another in the long list of the talented female web designers and multimedia specialists that I have been fortunate enough to teach at LaGuardia. “Gabby” was a New Media Technology major with an excellent foundation in web design and digital video. She is scheduled to graduate from LaGuardia in 2013.<\/td>\n		\"brum\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Zo Haib<\/a>
\nThe ZOH3 site is the creation of Zo Haib, a New Media Technology major who specializes in painting, illustration, and web site design.He is scheduled to graduate from LaGuardia in 2013.<\/td>\n		\"zohaib3\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Svetlana Pantepajeva<\/a>
\nSvetlana, or “Lana” to her friends, is a talented web and graphic designer a with exrperince in PHP and mobile game design utilizing Actionscript 3 and Adobe AIR. She graduated from LaGuardia Community College in 2012 with a degree in New Media Technology and 3.86 GPA. She is currently working as an independent freelance designer as she prepares to continue her studies at a four year senior college.<\/td>\n		\"lana\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Carlos DeJesus<\/a>
\nCarlos was a New Media Technology major specializing in the fields of Web Design and eCommerce. Carlos is a highly knowledgeable and detailed developer with a background in web based project management.Carlos graduated from LaGuardia in 2011 and is currently working as a web development project manager for a multinational Denmark based corporation.<\/td>\n		\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Dzhantam Warren<\/a>
\nDzantam, or “John” to his friends, is a multi-talented web\/graphic designer a with passion for 3D modeling and animation. He graduated from LaGuardia Community College in 2010 with a degree in New Media Technology. He is currently serving in the armed forces and plans to continue his studies at a four year senior college when he returns from overseas.<\/td>\n		\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Gemaica Mendoza
\n<\/a>Gemaica is a New Media Technology major. Her passion for photography and design is evident in her portfolio.<\/td>\n		\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Jesse Wolfe<\/a>
\nJesse was a New Media Technology student with a focus on Web Design and Development. He graduated from LaGuardia in 2010<\/td>\n		\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Kamrul Hasan<\/a>
\nKamrul is a talented and ambitious student who is specializing in Web Design and Development. He is particularly adept in the area of designing and building eCommerce websites. He currently owns, operates, and maintains Metro Retro<\/a>, a high end fashion site featuring handcrafted business and casual wear. Keith Turner<\/a>
\nKeith is an excellent web and graphic design student that I had the opportunity to instruct at LaGuardia. He is well versed in all aspects for web page design and is currently working as a web developer for Conde Nast.<\/td>\n		\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Miki Masuda<\/a>
\nMiki is an extremely talented digital artist with a solid background in Web Design and Development. After graduating from LaGuardia in 2007, Miki transferred to a senior college to continue her studies. Her web sites have won numerous awards for their presentation and functionality. Since she graduated Miki has returned to LaGuardia as a guest lecturer<\/a> to help inspire a new crop of digital artists.<\/td>\n		\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Carolina Valle<\/a>
\nCarolina was a New Media Technology major. She graduated from LaGuardia in 2006 with a specialization in Web and Graphic Design. Carolina was able to leverage her design skills and her portfolio to transfer successfully to a four year senior college.<\/td>\n		\"\"<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Gerard Irizarry<\/a>
\nGerard is a former student of mine and a dedicated IT professional with a background in Web Design and Development. He graduated from LaGuardia in 2010 and was immediately hired by his alma mater to design and support many of LaGuardia’s digital initiatives.<\/td>\n		\"Gerard<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
