The 2013 President&#8217;s <a title=\"The 2011 LaGuardia Publication Reception\" href=\"http:\/\/jamesrichardson.net\/jtalk\/2011\/05\/19\/the-publication-reception\/\">Publishing Reception is an event that is held every year<\/a> to acknowledge academic excellence. It was also the first time that the definition of scholarship was expanded to include some of the <a title=\"\u2026\u2026does whatever a spider can!\" href=\"http:\/\/jamesrichardson.net\/jtalk\/2012\/07\/10\/does-whatever-a-spider-can\/\">digital presentations<\/a> and research in which I have been engaged. \u00a0However while my presentations were recognized, many of my scholarly pursuits in the areas of application design and development were still looked at as supplemental work.
