\nHere is a list of some of the best superhero fanfilms that I have come across on the web. I qualify best as in excellent production values and not in acting ability. That is not to say that the acting is bad in some of these productions. It is just that the genres of movies that I prefer don’t generally lend themselves to creating the next academy award winner for best actor\/actress. Now in the areas of visual and special effects, some of these guys could give the majors a run for their money.<\/p>\n


\n1.<\/strong> Ba<\/em><\/strong>tman – Deadend:<\/em><\/strong>

\nThis is without a doubt the best superhero fanfilm that I have come across. The production features the Dark Knight taking on some of the most famous Scifi movie villains in recent memory. This short movie is better than many of the commercial Batman productions produced by Warner Brothers. I would dare say that if you are a Dark Knight purest, you will probably like it better than even Batman Begins with Christian Bale. Batman: Deadend was produced and directed by Sandy Collora for about 30K.

\n2. <\/strong>World’s Finest:<\/em><\/strong>

\nThis short was also made by Sandy Collora on a somewhat larger budget. The production features Superman and Batmans together against some of their more notable enemies. The 4 minute trailer is great. It is so good that I actually wish Warner Brother would let him shoot the Superman and Batman movie that they have been recently discussing.<\/p>\n

\n3. Grayson:<\/em><\/strong>
\nhttp:\/\/www.theforce.net\/fanfilms\/nonsw\/grayson\/index.asp<\/a>
\nDirector John Fiorella does something that is very difficult and updates the character and makes Robin ultra cool in this 5 minute trailer. The setting of the production is in the near future and takes place after the death of the Dark Knight. Robin comes home to take over Gotham and avenge the murder of his mentor. Since Robin isn’t exactly a hot property at Warner Brothers it amazes me why they won’t let this guy develop this into a TV Show if not a full blown movie. It has potential to be at least as good as Smallville.<\/p>\n
