Shockingly enough, after further study of the computer animation field and the mechanics that run the industry, I have learned the troubling actuality that I may still need to further my education after college. To do so I will need to incorporate other profession skills into my repateur such as cinematography, video editing, directing, script writing, and heavy programming to name a few. I would essentially need to become a jack of all trades.

I am also building a much stronger, and more familiar, association with web design. At this point I have a fair amount of knowledge in creating, editing, and displaying web sites and their content; but I would like to expand my knowledge to encompass the actual programming code that goes into the background of a website interface. These programs languages include Java Script, CSS, PHP, ASP, and SQL which are pretty basic in developing a multifunctional and dynamic website. By applying the skill of writing and modifying these codes, I would be able to increase the visual impact and functionality of any web content that I create.

Aside from computer animation, I also take great pleasure from enjoying hands-on activities. One such activity is mechanics and auto-body modification. I have always had a great love of cars and the jaw dropping power that they can exert. I myself own a 96 eagle talon (turbo all wheel drive) that I have fully customized from the body to the engine. Once I reach one of my goals in life I would like to return to school to learn how to build and modify auto-bodies so that I can create my own designs. With this knowledge I want to start another side business selling original and customized body kits, and by utilizing my strong graphics skills it should be a vision that I can grasp in the near future.

Learning these extracurricular skills could possibly tack another two to four years onto my schooling timeline. But with these additional skills, I have no doubt that I will one day bloom into a 3D animator & multimedia designer of superior caliber worthy of landing that dream job at companies such as Lucas Film’s Industrial Light and Magic, which bought us feature films like the “The Star Wars Trilogy”, or the Pixar Animation Studio, which bought us animated motion pictures such as “Shrek” and “The Incredibles.” Or I could one day direct my own animated motion pictures. Look for my name in the credits of future 3D films.
