Projects

Below is a list of projects I've worked on during my career.

MSN Network (sidewalk.com):

1997 saw Microsoft debut the website as a listing of local events and information in numerous cities. It was the Microsoft Corporation's attempt to create a group of comprehensive web portals oriented towards specific cities. Imbued with hip urban writing and lifestyle articles, the service was intended to compete with urban weekly newspapers. It was preceded by other city-specific net guides such as AOL's Digital Cities and Boulevards.

My job was to design and build out and maintain one to six page mini-sites for clients that bought ads space on the site. While I was there I built and managed over 150 clients and mini-sites.

IBM Corporation (ibm.com):

ibm.com is a top 5,000 site that reaches over 1.3 million U.S. monthly people. The site attracts a somewhat male, more affluent, more educated group. The typical visitor reads experts-exchange.com and buys from computing.net.

While at ibm.com I developed and maintained mini-sites and pages for it's e-commerce portion of the site. I oversaw such initiatives as their 1X redesign project.

NBC Universal (nbcheadsup.com):

NBC Universal, Inc. is a media and entertainment company formed in May 2004 by the combination of General Electric's NBC with Vivendi Universal Entertainment (part of the French Media Group, Vivendi Universal (now Vivendi SA)). GE owns 80% of NBC Universal with the remaining 20% owned by Vivendi SA. The company develops, produces, and markets entertainment, news, and information to a global customer base.

At NBC Universal I was a part of their digital studios department that was tasked with the jobs of creating new and exciting content in the digital space. While I was there I built the site for their national poker tournament.

DotComedy.com (thelunchbreakshow.com):

This is also a digital property of NBC Universal. The focus of the programming on the channel is original, web-exclusive material developed specifically for DotComedy. The broadband channel also features content from NBC's legendary late-night shows.

Thelunchbreakshow.com is a 30-minute collection of NBC's most popular comedy shows airing daily from Noon to 2:00 p.m.

This was an initiative by NBC Universal to grab the attention of office workers during their lunch break. I was responsible for the front-end development of this site.

Condé Nast Publications (style.com):

Style.com is the online site for the fashion magazine Vogue featuring online versions of some of the magazines content as well as internet-exclusive material such as event photographs and style-related articles.

Style.com contains fashion news reporting, trend reports, and extensive galleries of fashion-show photos,, among other content. Its editor-in-chief is Dirk Standen and Executive Fashion Director is Candy Pratts Price. According to Alexa Internet, it is the most-visited women's fashion magazine site online.
