Assignment Reflection

The goal of this assignment was for all students to view the artistic works of students, or any person, showcased around LaGuardia Community College. Once we have achieved this, we were to choose one particular piece. This could be a painting, sculpture, collage, etc. We were then to write an autobiography on the owner and the piece of art that we chose. The toughest part of this assignment was in choosing between all of the fine works of art that were showcased. I chose to do my paper on something exotic so I chose a metal sculpture almost hidden on the fourth floor of the school. The other difficult part that I encountered was in finding information about the artist and his sculpture. It was difficult to research enough information to complete the project, but my perseverance paid off.

The most enjoyable part of this assignment was in taking the photos with my digital camera and processing them for the assignment, and in creating the cover page. In all, I was proud to look back on the finished product. I don’t thing that I would change anything about this project, even if I were given a second chance.
