The Fall II semester is underway and I am already swamped. In addition to the two courses that I am teaching, and planning for the LaGuardia New Media conference in the spring, I also have to redesign the web sites for the New Media program and the CIS Department. Both sites need a serious update and there was no way that I could have completed the job by myself. Luckily I was able to get an intrepid band of interns to volunteer in assisting me to plan, design, and implement the new sites.
The above picture only shows half of the team. The amazing thing about the project is that only two of the guys are doing the work for credit. The others are helping out just for the experience. In just a week we have gotten the preliminary designs and templates built for both sites as well as planning out much of the Flash content. The streaming video for the sites we be the most time consuming. We still have alot of stuff to do, but I am confident that the sites will be great when we are done.
