The Black Panther movie is important. It is important for you, for me, and for nerds of all races, creeds and colors!
Oh Snap! A Marvel Legend Series Infinity Gauntlet Unboxing
I finally got around to doing a proper unboxing of the Marvel Legend Series Infinity Gauntlet. I had been looking for this for a few months since I missed the original release earlier this year. Luckily I found a great site out of the UK called Merchoid that had a few of these left. And at the original price, not the inflated collectable ones found on Ebay.

NY Cine Video: Ant-Man and other films from Marvel
This is part two of a podcast session that I co-hosted on New York Cine Radio a few weeks back. I had an opportunity to take the regular hosts, Tom Seymour and Dave Leute, through Ant-Man and the other newly announced films from Marvel Studios’ Phase 3 lineup. My inner nerd was singing.
NY Cine Video: Recap of the Marvel film lineup
Last week I had the opportunity to co-host the New York Cine Radio podcast on the upcoming Phase 3 movies to be released by Marvel Studios. The team at NY Cine Radio asked me to fill in for one of the regular hosts, Ken Powell, who is finishing up his last semester at college. I was slightly nervous about having enough to talk about, but luckily Marvel and DC had made a number of announcements about their movie and TV plans through 2020. The nerd world was in a total uproar over announcements Continue reading “NY Cine Video: Recap of the Marvel film lineup”
Call me Hawkeye!
When I get bored I tend to do things like spend money and build silly things. I am still not sure what to do with myself while the whole family is away at summer camp, so of course I broke down and bought a new recurve bow for my birthday. I picked up the Martin Saber Takedown bow with a 55 lbs draw weight on Amazon for less than two bills. I have been meaning get back to the archery range ever since I took the family a few times last year. I really enjoyed the sport. Oddly enough, I found that shooting a bow was very calming in contrast to the Continue reading “Call me Hawkeye!”
Archery Night: Zombie Apocalypse training
In light of the “Avengers”, the “Hunger Games”, and the new Green Arrow TV series, both of my kids have been interested in trying the sport of archery. So when I came across a Groupon deal for the Queens Archery Range I decided to take the whole family. We had an amazing time. My wife even enjoyed it, and I didn’t figure her for the archery type. We shot recurve bows that first night and I was shocked at how much fun I had getting my inner Hawkeye on! While the girls enjoyed themselves, they didn’t think that archery was going to be something that they would want to do on a regular basis. My boy on the other hand was hooked.
A few weeks later I took my boy back Continue reading “Archery Night: Zombie Apocalypse training”
