I suspect that like many people, I found myself rewatching the Black Panther over the weekend in the wake of the death of Chadwick Boseman. I find myself still impressed by the thought which went into developing this film. The combination of the superhero and afro-futurism genres was, and still is, a unique bit of filmmaking.

Oh Snap! A Marvel Legend Series Infinity Gauntlet Unboxing
I finally got around to doing a proper unboxing of the Marvel Legend Series Infinity Gauntlet. I had been looking for this for a few months since I missed the original release earlier this year. Luckily I found a great site out of the UK called Merchoid that had a few of these left. And at the original price, not the inflated collectable ones found on Ebay.

NY Cine Video: Recap of the Marvel film lineup
Last week I had the opportunity to co-host the New York Cine Radio podcast on the upcoming Phase 3 movies to be released by Marvel Studios. The team at NY Cine Radio asked me to fill in for one of the regular hosts, Ken Powell, who is finishing up his last semester at college. I was slightly nervous about having enough to talk about, but luckily Marvel and DC had made a number of announcements about their movie and TV plans through 2020. The nerd world was in a total uproar over announcements Continue reading “NY Cine Video: Recap of the Marvel film lineup”
The Best Superhero Fanfilms
Here is a list of some of the best superhero fanfilms that I have come across on the web. I qualify best as in excellent production values and not in acting ability. That is not to say that the acting is bad in some of these productions. It is just that the genres of movies that I prefer don’t generally lend themselves to creating the next academy award winner Continue reading “The Best Superhero Fanfilms”
