Yesterday my cousin Miko invited the whole family to her place to wish her brother, my other lil’ cousin, a bon voyage. Nate Dog, as I refer to him, is moving away and starting a new job soon and it was our last chance to see him before he left. I was sad that he was moving away but I knew that he was happy about the opportunity in front of him. And as a result, I was happy for him. I know from past experience how important it is for you to be happy and intellectually challenged by the work that you do in life. Nothing sucks like being in a job that you have outgrown. The gathering was mellow. Well as mellow as my family gatherings get. We ate, we laughed, we acted a damn fool. It was great.
