I spent a wonderful weekend in Maine with my wife to support her Marathon fixation. She is trying to qualify for the Boston and New York Marathons again. She ran her second fastest marathon ever with a time of 3:23:05. She even won an award for finishing 1st in her division!
It was our first trip to Maine and our first weekend by ourselves, without the kids, in a long time. The weekend can be summed up as follows:
- We stayed at this quaint little bed and breakfast called the Nestlewood Inn.
- I got up early on Sunday morning to watch my wife run 26.2 miles.
- While she spent the day running, I ate some amazing oatmeal raisin cookies, bought the best lunch ever at the Orange Cat Cafe, and gouged myself at a marathon expo pasta dinner night after the race. Cause ‘dats how we roll!
